ABOUT MOUNT TAYLOR MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Mount Taylor Music Festival is a family friendly, Community event that will bring some great music to Grants, and benefit our beloved St. Teresa of Avila School. There will be a fantastic lineup of Regionally and Nationally known musicial artists for everyone to enjoy.

The Opening Concert on Friday, May 2nd at the Performing Arts Center will feature Country music singing star Terry McBride, the lead singer of McBride and the Ride. Terry has recorded numerous top 5 Country hits over the years, including the #1 hit Sacred Ground and has recieved CMA and ACM award nominations for vocal group of the year.

The Concert will open with the notable Nashville songwriting and performing couple, Julie and John Pennell joined by Mandy Hinemann and special guest Martin Gilmore. John Pennell has written more than 10 songs recorded by the great Alison Krauss, as well as songs recorded by Eva Cassidy, Sam Bush, and Alan Jackson.

The exciting powerhouse entertainer and recording artist Daryl Wayne Dasher (Honky Tonk Ways) will follow with his own brand of high energy acoustic music leading up to the Headliner of the night, Terry McBride.

Saturday May 3rd will have a full festival lineup of music, food vendors, and a car show outside of the beautiful Cibola County Court building.

Award winning singer and songwriter Jessey Adams will kick off delivering her moving original songs with her lovely and powerful voice.

Durango Colorado favorite, blues guitarist Kirk James and his band will share their unique performing style of classic and original homegrown blues, with tasty electric blues guitar.

Up and coming Las Cruces, NM Country Singing sensation Dzaki Sukarno and his band will be a crowd favorite with the pure sound of Classic Country as well as heart-felt original songs.

We are so proud to present the Stunning vocals and chart smashing songs of Highway 101’s Paulette Carlson! She’s wowed Country music fans with hit songs like, Somewhere tonight, Cry cry cry, The bed you made for me, Walkin’ talking cryin’, All the reasons why, Who’s lonely now, Honky Tonk Heart, This side of goodbye, Whiskey, if you were a woman just to name a few!

The Festival will wrap up with John Paycheck and his stellar classic Country band. The son of the legendary Country music icon Johnny Paycheck will show that great country music talent runs in the family and is proudly carried on for Country music lovers both old and new.
